Hello,

what do think of this combination?
Does someone have it? What are your experiences?

Are there better lenses in this price range?

Thanks
Robert

I have a Canon EOS 30 with a Canon 75-300/f4.5-5.6 USM. Not sure about "IS". If IS stands for Image Stabilizer, than I don't have this one. Besides that, I also have a Tamron 28-200.

I am very happy with that equipment. You can do a search for "Gerardo Dominguez" to see my pics. Apart fomr the latest 6 or 7 additions, which ere taken with my new Sony DSC F707, all have been taken with that equipment mentioned above.

If you have any questions, go ahead, don't hesitate.

Hi Robert,

I have that exact combination and it's excelent. The Image Stabilizer is wonderful and worth the money. With it it's possible to make clear and sharp photos under low light conditions like sunsets for example.

If you look my photos after October 2001, you'll some examples.

Luis

Doesn't the IS lens cost lots more than the non-IS version though?

Great combination

I have the Eos 50e + that lense and I've been completely satisfied with it.

I wouldn't recommend any other lens over the EF 75-300 IS. If you want better, then the EF 70-200L or EF 100-400L, but those cost three times more.

If you want to take a look, most of my newest shots are taken with that combo

Do the IS lenses use up more battery power? How important is it on a 300mm lens?
