Joe - The same thing happened to me last week. I uploaded 6 photos but only 3 of them registered as being in the queue.

This happend to Charles (Falk)while back. He emailed Johan and this was the reply he got

"Yes, I'm sorry to say that they are probably lost due to the high load
during peak hours (evening CET time). The server simple can't handle all
requests and start to loose some. This will change when we get the new
server, apparently it's been delayed until Monday, then it will be in my
hands two-tree days after that and installed by next weekend if all goes well.

Thanks,
Johan "

Hope that might answer your question

Cheers,
Martin

Hey Joe...

I had 30 lost, and then I reuploaded them, and 24 of them got lost!

I just uploaded 10 last week and its saying 9 in the que. So one is gone. Gee, I hope its not the one really good shot from SXM thats a lock to get thousands of hits  Big grin

I didnt get much love on here when I posted about it. Pretty much just, "oh well, try again".

I'm of the opinion that lost photos should automatically get screened first once they are reuploaded, seeing as how its not our fault they vanished.

very frustrating.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

I had the same situation this week, I uploaded 11 new photos and when I looked at the photostat page it only showed 8 photos waiting to be accepted.

I had a post in this forum earlier this week. It is the first time it happened to me since I am uploading photos to airliners.net.

Hopefully with the new server the situation will improve.

Regards,

Pierre

Happened to me the other day, uploaded 19 from my past trip to JFK, only 16 are in the queue...if I only knew which ones are lost in cyber hell, I could reupload without waiting a month.

Hi Justin,
if you want to find out which ones are lost, use following URL:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/yourfilename.jpg

The photos that do not show up, are probably lost and you should reupload them without waiting until the others get screened. Of course, you will be kicked to the back of the queue, so it´s up to you...

Hope this helps.

I've done that before, and they show up, yet it tells me I only have X number of photos in the queue. That was 2 months ago, I uploaded too many this time to play that game.

Had the same thing happen to me this week, uploaded 22 only 16 are in the q. All of them show up when you pull up the picture under www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/etc. but they're not all listed which really sucks.
