Lens cleaning kit? For a camera? I have a bottle of fluid, but I am reluctant to use it because it leaves an oily residue, and i'm not sure whether it dries ok (its something like 6 or 7 years old so ...).

No...more likely a CCD cleaning kit. PAul (and possibly many other digital camera owners) have problems with dust on their CCD's.

Can someone put in some more information about these kits? Maybe even a link to a URL? I asked the local camera store about it and they say they've never heard of them.

Thanks

ADG,

Check out the following link for details http://www.photosol.com There is a worldwide distributor list.

The swabs and cleaner are recommended by Fuji, Nikon and Kodak. Having used the products myself I can say they are excellant if a little pricey.

Cheers

Paul
