Ok folks, I need everyone help cause I want to buy a camera for spotting. For now I have only a Kodak Advantix APS (and it is only good to take a pic of grand-ma and not planes !)
Could anyone give me some advices about buying a good camera (price : until 400 € or 450 US dollars).

Well if your max is about $450, you could buy a Nikon N80 but I think that is a little bit more than $450 and body only.
For $450 you could buy a N65 for that price with a small lense to start out with.
I just got started myslef about 3 months ago, I had all the question, and I finally decided on my Nikon F5.

Alaskaairlines,
a Nikon F5 for US$400-450 is very rare!
Rey777,
I would go for a cheap SLR with a cheap zoom lens (e. g. Nikon N65 (F65 in Europe) with a Nikkor G 70-300mm lens). You may also want to buy a used "middle-class" SLR like the N80 (F80 in Europe), but if you buy any used equipment, make sure that it works properly before you purchase it. I would purchase either a Canon or a Nikon as these brands have the biggest selection of lenses and also offer top-quality equipment.
In the course of the time you can upgrade to better (and more expensive) lenses and bodies.
