Hi all,

Managed to get to Gatwick yesterday for the inaugural flight of Astraeus, and their nice looking 737-300.

Obviously as a new airline, it would be great to have these photos looked at as soon as possible, does anybody know how to attract the screeners attention to newsworthy photos?

For anyone interested, here is what the aircraft looks like.

Cheers

Garry

I'd suggest you email Johan direct - it''s likely to be his call.

I have to say Johan is very obliging when you have something brand new. Always very quick.
For instance I uploaded the first pictures of an Aer Lingus 146 with the website titles. I emailed him and five minutes later, yes five, they were added.

Ya see we complain about A.net not having pictures of new aircraft before other sites yet if we actually attempt to contact the big guy, they can be up VERY quickly

'Tis a great old service this Airliners.net  Smile

Cheers,
Martin

There is a link just after you upload a photo, an e-mail link to the screeners which you can use to attract attention on something new.

I have to agree with above, they were very quick in afdding my bmibaby pics recently.

Thanks for the advice gents,

I emailed the Boss and as you can see all three shots were added.

Great work Johan.

I couldn't agree more Ben, when Gatwick are on Easterlies it is my favourite airport in the country, especially when stood on top of the toxic waste pile in that field, that is just high enough to shoot over the car park.......just dodge the tree tops with the approach shots.
Long live the waste heap !!  Smile

I can only imagine Mr Dopson lamenting his misfortune at flying out to the USA on the day a new airline started at his local......LOL  Smile

Cheers

Garry

Ben,

you should watch what you're posting. I just got a post in the Civil Aviation Forum which contained a link to exactly the same pic deleted because of advertising.

But you're right. Paul's shot wouldn't have a chance on airliners.net, especially after Garry uploaded such great pics.

I get up much earlier then Garry  Wink/being sarcastic I was told it was going to go from Juliet 1 along with some of the airline guys who were waiting to see it. But ATC, you know what there like Big grin gave it a nice short departure so pre 7.00am the light isnt too friendly!

Nice shots Garry

Hi Paul,

Hope you had a good trip.

Of course I should note that I had arranged with my KK Tower collegues to keep the Astraeus 733 as far away from you as possible  Smile I don't think they did too badly allowing the light to spoil your shot, thus leaving the door open for me Big grin

Better luck next time old bean Big grin

Garry

Oh and Ben, you have 1000 cred points deducted for promoting one of Paul's pictures......may eternal shame be cast upon you Big grin
I will probably be up at LGW again on Saturday (forecast rain and Easterly wind permitting...........btw, does anyone know where to park my car when Westerlies are in use?), chasing the A340-600 due in, so hopefully we can meet again Paul, and Ben if he wishes......just remember your brick Big grin

Easterly = No brick required Big grin

Well, for westerlys, use the short term car park (car park 1) expensive yes but you can shoot side on arrival shots from next to your car.

I work on saturdays so not sure about getting the 346

LGW
(Probably going to call in "sick" on saturday")

Hey,

This sunday, I took pictures of a CO B767-400.
It is the first picture of a B767-400 at Brussels, and it is also the first picture of that aircraft (I didn't find it back on a.net).

Do I have to write Johan for this?

Regards,
Sabena 690
