Hey, this is not a scream for advice, although if you have something to comment on the shot, be free to do so.

I am posting this as a question to the screener who rejected it.

http://airliners.net/procphotos/rejphoto.main?filename=vliegtuigen46.jpg

The rejection mail stated:

"did you HAVE to cut the nose off?"

Answer, no... Big thumbs up I was surprised by the Qantas logo on the engine and focussed the shot around that. Would it have been accepted if the nose was on the pic?

Thanks, Wietse

I think it's fine the way you submitted it.

I bet if you crop to focus on the engines it will be accepted.

Nice shot.

What's another word for thesaurus?

I think if you had that last little bit of nose you would have had a winner. Without it, well....to me it looks like you cut the nose off.

Well I thought my comment for the rejection was adequate and self-explanetory. First we get complaints about NO comments, and then I take the time to add one, instead of the generic Bad Motive.

What do I have to say, "Sorry Mr. Wietse, I must apologize for the rejection but this picture would have been much more appealing if you wouldn't have accidently cropped forward of the #1 right window."?

Gimme a break...

Whoa there, I wasn't flaming you! I really appreciated the line!!! I was just wondering what could be done to improve it, because I think it is something special!

Sorry if you picked it up this way, but no harm was intended!!!!

btw, Thanks for the rapid screening!!! It was only up there for about 3 hours!

It was (in my opinion a very funny) comment to me and I just wanted to answer it in some way!

Just to let the screeners know; I thank them for the comments. I have seen more helpful comments recently. It's a whole lot better than "The quality of these pictures is low."  Smile I appreciate them taking the time to let us know how to make certain pics "acceptable."

But Wietse, I would have said the same thing Big grin

Screener 5, you can be that blunt with me anytime. I'd be happy for anything except the standard rejection message. It actually made me chuckle.

And Wietse, nice photo. If you cropped it a little more, it would look really nice.

Thanks, guys,

I just hope S5 read my explanation.

Osu, it made me laugh as well, that's why I wanted to answer it. I just found it to be very sympathatic! It is indeed better than the generic badmotiv thingie!

Hey I saw this on PP.net, EXCELLENT photo Wietse!!! New equipment? Looks great  Smile. I didn't actually notice that you had cropped the nose (too busy looking at the engines..).

Regards

Dan

Nope, still my same old flatbed scanner... Big thumbs up

Reala and the developing lab are giving me VERY good prints. So it is a message to everyone whining about their equipment: it IS possible  Wink/being sarcastic
