Take the train from PIK airport to Paisley Gilmour St, then take the shuttlebus link to GLA airport.
Best way to get from GLA to EDI is the Scottish City Link (Blue/Yellow) bus group.

http://www.citylink.co.uk/timetable.html

It leaves GLA airport, via Buchanan St Bus Station in Glasgow City centre (change) then on to EDI.
Get off at the Ingliston bus stop for EDI.
Reverse coming back.

...or hire a motor vehicle...?

Alex

The natives are very friendly and probably the best way to get to the groovy spotting places will be to grab a fellow spotter with a car and hitch a lift. I'm thnking about doing EDI/PIK on Wed and GLA on Thurs on the basis that what comes in has to come out again.

I would think that Thursday will also be a day of action so you might ant to delay heading back south until then

Enjoy

Scotty

Lots of conficting reports but best guess estimates 300 a/c tops, split between EDI and GLA mainly but quite a few at PIK as well, mainly the German ones

Well here's what you need to help you decide!! This is the LOT as far as we know although no biz jet info, and there are loads of them expected. The times given in the GLA/PIK info are Departure times, dont know arrivals for all of them. Info from Scotavnet and usual disclaimers apply. Anything could end up anywhere it seems. Apologies if the formatting is a bit skwiffy.

For anyone planning a visit for the UEFA Champions League traffic, there is now a dedicated page on the Scottish Air News website regarding expected movements.

For Edinburgh and Glasgow, links are provided to EGPH.CO.UK and EGPF.CO.UK respectively (these sites will provide you with the most up-to-date info available), and there is a list of "rumoured" Prestwick
visitors. The SCAN website address is

http://www.scottishairnews.co.uk

Hope this is of use to y'all

From all the movements, even though EDI was the quietest of the three, it captured the star vintage visitors (Electra DC-10 and YES TriStar)....

...I'll catch up with the Futuras and Europas during the summer season. (...what summer..?)
