I am going to be in Milwaukee this month and I wanted to know if there are any places to spot or take photos of planes at Milwaukee General Mitchell INTL. I want to get some Midwest Express aircraft and some other aircraft while I am in Milwaukee. Are there any viewing areas there too?

I usually check out the viewing parking lot first when I arrive. It is located at the beginning of RNWY 19R. There are a few frontage roads that are good for approach shots. I have not done much since 9/11 so I do not know how much police are around.

Hey I go to MKE all the time. There are numerous spots that I know of. First like SHIMMER1 said there is a viewing spot on arrives and departers on RWY 19R. But there is also a huge hill that is wide open it is very good spot if the winds are out of the South. Email me for more info on spotting at MKE. Its nelly124@wi.rr.com.

Thanks JOEY

Depending on the lens you're using, the fifth floor of the parking structure facing south, given the right prevailing winds, you can get some great takeoff/landing flare shots.

Otherwise, just sit at the end of Layton and you can wind up with some great shots.
