Just returned from a trip to Taipei. This is the first time I've used my new D60 for airliner photos. In short, the D60's capabilities are amazing. I'd say it's about 5 times (or perhaps more) faster than my old Pro90. The picture quality is also amazing, even in difficult shooting conditions. I mainlly used a Canon 75-300mm USM III lens with it, but sometimes also a Canon 28-105mm USM, and a Tokina 19-35mm for wide angle shots.

Photography at Taipei Sung Shan airport was excellent. Here are some examples:

This photo was from The Grand hotel which offered a nice view of the approach to Sung Shan:

However, CKS airport was not photographer friendly at all. I had to go to the smoking room to get some reasonable shots!! Here is one example:

Photography from inside HKG was much better, though I only had limited time before I boarded my flight to get some shots:

See my homepage for a comprehensive guide to spotting and photography at HKG

Please do not include large image files in your post - it really makes life difficult for those with slow modem connections. Put them somewhere else and post a link
