If you are excited about it, that is probably the most important thing! It is a great camera in its class. Go to www.steves-digicams.com and look at the photo-of-the-day contest there and you'll see that just about every other day the winner is taken with the model you are getting. I don't know if more people with that model submit photos, or if more are chosen- maybe a little of both. I think you should enjoy it as a camera overall, especially if you are shooting for the web. If you plan to make huge prints on a regular basis then you'll need higher resolution.

I have had the C-2100 since February, and for us who can't afford a DSLR it's a great camera. Of course, it would be better with a higher resolution, but 2.1 MP is ok and 10x zoom is excellent
