Hi All,
last week myself and some of the local yokels were hanging around shooting and the AF Conc came by- he had to stop for traffic and while it sat there, the right side window opened up and a very jubilant, happy co-pilot began waving at us so immediately cameras were tra tatatatatata- anyway, i just uploaded the picture after Dan, the pilot wrote to me asking if i was out there that day- i said i was and if he'd mind if i uploaded a photo of him waving- he said no prob- he's way cool and says he loves all the enthusiasts who adore the concorde and is honored to fly it- he's been on it for 3 mos. now. Hopefully the photo will be uploaded soon.

Joe

As many times as I've been in JFK, I haven't seen the concorde moving (saw it grounded after the crash). I'd love to be out there when it's thundering down the runway...

Glad to know one of my "distant" fellow AF-er is just as plane crazy! If only I could meet him at BOS.

Thanks Joe. Definitely neat.

No sweat Gary... I'll make sure to upload the one with the entire nose attached!  Big grin
Dan the AF copilot sure was a real nice guy to grant his permission for a.net. It's nice to see that even the guys who pilot the Queen of Speed are fans of what we all do here and fans of a.net. Dan is Da Man!

Sure thing Gary, deal! This would be in the best interest of a.net... remove Joe's nose clipped shot and replace it with the whole nose view.
 Big grin

I get my slides back from Kodak tomorrow....

you keep this up Carlos and im gonna upload the nose shot myself! - i took with nose and without- with nose you can't really see Dan too well- i shot him at 640mm in order to see him clearly.

Vasco, Justin, all- we currently get 2 inbound concordes every morning, one outbound, and again at 1230 another outbound- so between around 8am and 1pm you can see 4 separate concorde movements. And people wonder why they say JFK's traffic is so much better than LAX and MIA....  Big grin  Big grin

Is Dan a Frenchman?
And are there weight limits for Concorde pilots so they can still escape through the cockpit window?  Wink/being sarcastic
