And the AWARD goes to Tim Lachenmaier. His Scottsdale shots are the BEST. Tim...you truly are the best biz jet photographer around. They are always great shots.

Standby, there are quite a few night ones about to be uploaded if not already by a photographer that I screened a few nights back. They are breath taking.

Of course only if you like Bizjets

Geez, I did not know my photos were so admired. As I looked at this topic from the list, the thought of myself being the subject grazed my mind...I thought maybe Aaron Mandolesi and his night shots. But I clicked it because I LOVE biz jets, if not obvious enough already.

Anyway, I use an Olympus C-700 Ultra Zoom Digital camera...Nothing incredible compared to other photographers on this site, but it gets me by, apparently.

Those of you begging for more, its been hard to take nice photos lately because of lighting and the position of the sun (I guess). Also, I'm beginning to think my spotting area is getting a little old for you viewers. Therefore, I'm finding more spots to shoot from. Or just places I have been before. The biggest factor which comes as no surprise is?........THE ARIZONA HEAT  Wow!...My, oh my; its just so hot during the aviation rush hour.

My newest motivation is the Gulfstream 200 (IAI Galaxy)

. I've seen three of these on three different occasions in a matter of about one month. I consider myself lucky to have seen such a rare bird for the time being. I saw one just the other day (July 12) but I did not have my camera  Pissed

Thanks to everyone who enjoys my photos. I really appreciate the support. And thanks to you Leftypilot79 for starting this thread.  Big thumbs up I really like that "winking" citation as well.

If anyone has a photo request, sent it to me.

Yes, thanks Aaron...you hit the spot of exactly what i was talking about. I sent ya an Email earlier today regarding night shots.

Not too long ago tonight, a big storm passed over Scottsdale. Usually, the day after a storm, the weather is pretty nice and the sky is pretty clear - rain clears a lot of haze and what not. I'll have to take my short trip to Scottsdale airport tomorrow for this one reason.

Aaron M. is luckier than me though - his airport doesnt have a wingspan restriction like Scottsdale does (77 feet 10 inches i believe). This way he can see Global Express and G-V's.

Most of my pictures are taken from the long term parking lot at SDL. Free parking, thankfully. Other than that, there are loads of places to watch airplanes from cnosidering SDL is an airpark and there are many businesses surrounding the airport. In this case, there are many parking lots for these offices in close proximity to the runway. To get the results you see from my photos, you really do need a truck to be able to see over a fence. I stand on the bumper of my ford explorer and I do just fine...Used to stand on top but only do so when i need to now.

As for PHX, I dont know many places at all. Perhaps you could ask James richard covington Jr. He works for southwest airlines at PHX.
