Hey all,
Just back from my trip to see london. I saw a lot at heathrow, I will definately get back to shoot there sometime!
First, my both BMI flights were Star Alliance planes, G-MIDX and G-MIDW.
I stayed at the Ibis hotel, next to the approach of some runway which was in use most of the time. There, I saw my first American 777, and another one, and another one, and a.... Also my first Virgin a340 and a Sri Lankan 340. Landing too late to make pictures was the Hong Kong Cathay 744 (the new one) But I shot that one later that day from the sky. Also when we taxied, the Virgin A346 rolled by, but I couldn't take a pic (wrong side of the aircraft)...
Heathrow itself is quite a mess, but I am sure there are reasons for it.

Great, did it rain?
While you were gone I was intruding on your home turf, I saw more 747's than I've ever seen in one day before, most of them were in this like..blue colour...some guy mentioned the name of the airline, have forgotten it now
Anyway, weather was good, but it was stinking hot, shot about 220 photos.

Hey staffan,
Great you had a good time, did the airline start with a K?
I shot about 30 photos, from the plane, and from the IBIS hotel. The weather was absolutely great and the light was as golden as i've ever seen it! I shot the CX Hong Kong plane from the sky, with the entire terminal and several other planes, so i'm looking forward to those shots as well as yours!
