Is Nikon CoolPix 5700 good for aviation photography?
I am not a professional photographer, just want to get a compact and powerful zoom one.
Any suggestion please?

I don't think you will get too many replies about it at this point, it is a rather new camera. I myself enjoy the Nikon line of digital cameras, and highly recommend them all, I have the CP995 (and have used the CP775, and CP885) and it produces fine photos.

That would probably be my next digital camera. All the research I've done on new digicams points me to this camera. A 5.0 MP with an 8X zoom, and no noticable chromatic aberrations, purple fringing, etc. Before you buy one check it out cause I heard the zoom and auto focus are slower than average. That's not a good thing for aviation photography.

Never trust the reviews and what people say about a camera. All the online reviews say that the CP995 is useless for action, because of the slow AF. Well I have news for them, I just shot a car race, and it came out pretty well (90% in focus, with the entire car in the frame), and I had 12 shots that I considered keepers, with 6 that I will be publishing on my website.
