I was at JFK on Saturday (august 10), I was in the parking lot of the customs building when after 15-20 minutes of being there a Port Authority cop pulled up to the fence and asked if I was taking pictures I told him yes and he got out of his car, He came up to the fence and said someone had called because I looked suspicious! He asked me for my ID and wrote down my name in his notebook. He asked me to stop taking pictures but said I could stay where I was to watch. The cop was very nice and did not hassle me at all. I didn't argue with the cop about taking pic's out of respect and the fact that he let me stay. So for those of you who have had bad cop experiences out there I just thought I would tell you about a positive experience.

I WOULDN'T CALL IT POSITIVE IF YOU WERE STILL NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE PICS

I stopped taking pics because the Officer was VERY nice to me and I didn't want to cause any problems that would affect any other's that go there. Anyone who has been to the customs building knows it's a nice spot to sit and watch. Why ruin a good thing? And it worked out for me because I found a very nice spot to catch the arrivals into 13L  Smile

Maybe Yevgeny or somebody else can tell us. On the map it seems to be impossible to get there without swimming!

Not that it is any place that I discovered, but there is a parking lot in front of the Air India cargo building to the left of Polar Air Cargo. The planes coming in to 13L are about 200 feet over your head.
Setjet that pic is the approach to 22L you can park right next to it on Rockaway Blvd it is a dirt lot with no easy access. Also in that pic you can see the Customs building it's the green one in the bottom left corner of the pic.

Black cops or white (and bald)?

2 pair of black cops kicked us out and didn't even give us a chacne to talk. Felt important I guess.

JFKTower,

Mirrodie and I got kicked out by Customs Cops there two weeks ago.

He wasn;t nice, and had a fuckin tude.

If I had slept at all the night before, I'd probably have gotten wise. I'm glad he didn't.

He took down Mirrodie's plate.

The US Cusotms House lot is my favortie place to spot in the world.

It's a LOT better for 31R arrivals. 13L arrivals there SUCK.

"If ya gotta feel important" is what Mirrodie said to them as we left. It was so funny.
