Hello guys,

I really need your help. I'm flying to MAN tomorrow (August 23), flying in with LH 4646, Arrival time is 10:55 a.m..

So, what are good places for spotting w/o a car??? How about the spectactors terrace or the viewing park??? I've also heard about a car park at terminal 3??? I have a 300mm lens, is that good enough for all these spots?

Do you have some sample shot from those spots?

Can you tell me how these locations are, and how I can get there???

If one of you is also at MAN tomorrow, maybe you like to spent some time with me together and can show me arroud( if you're local). I'm leaving with LH 4607 at 6:05 p.m.

BTW, how would be weather in MAN????

Thanks in advance for your help
(This is my first spotting trip outside germany)

Greetings from HAM
Tobi

Read http://www.tasmanchester.com/Spotting_manchester.htm. The viewing park is a short bus ride and walk away. Top of T1 or T3 car parks, or you can get a view through the glass of T2.

Weather is listed as cloudy for tomorrow, but could change.

Regards

One place i WOULD NOT GO is the T3 car park as you are very restricted in views , same really for the T1 car park , you are far better having a move around to any of the places i have linked to above..

I hope this has given you some idea  Big thumbs up

the weather is forcast pretty dry and warm for tomorrow , so you should be ok !

cheers maybe catch up tomorrow ...

uhh, I'd say the T3 car park is better than the field besides the 24R threshold because you only get a small field of view from the T3 car park, but its more interesting having aircraft touching down than just in the air... plus at the time he arrives the sun is going to be behind his back to the north of the airfield, whereas the south is only good in the morning..

Hi Daryl,

Well considering I work in Liechtenstein, not that often (OK I live in Swtizerland). Actually, I would guess 20+ days a month, although sometimes it does not seem like it.
