Question About Jpeg

I'm used posting pict with the middle Jpeg compression.
but i'm wondering wich one is the best?
the low compression, the high or the middle one?
please could you help me by telling me what do you think or what are you used to do?

I don't know what software program you are using for editing your shots, but have a look at:

http://www.jpegwizard.com

This is a great program for JPEG compression.

JPEG compression can be somewhat confusing. There are generally two different ways programs can give you settings options - either by quality or compression.

High compression = low quality but small flies
Low compression = high quality but larger files

Normally I use a quality setting of about 75%, which would be a medium-low compression and tends to result in file sizes around 100k for a 4x6 print scanned at 150dpi.

Actually i'm using Adobe photoshop 5 and we have here a numeric camera so i don't scan anything...
