Hi!
I would be interested to know if it is necessary to have a ladder for the locations around Nuernberg airport? I checked the website
http://home.arcor.de/spotter/index.html
but couldnt find any information about this.
Any help would be appreciated

nice to hear that you are planning to come to NUE. I have to say that you always (except approach) have to use a ladder here. 3 steps should be sufficient - 5 are even better. 2 years ago we still had a mound parallel to taxiway F, but this time has gone...

I am actually there from tomorrow until Thursday and next week also for business but i will cut off some time Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Hello Peter,

ok, the underground stops right at the airport. From there you can walk to both spots (taxiway A or F according to wind). For taxiway F just follow the fence, for taxiway A follow a footpath along our cargo center. The path starts next to the Ringeltaube. As the path leads into the wood turn left and after another 50m just walk towards the fence straight into the forrest. You will find a small path there that leads to the fence (not easy to find - good luck!). There you have good chances to find several Baumstämme (in exchange for the ladder).

The terrace is behind greencolored glass. I dont like taking photos there anymore.

Have a good time here. In Nbg city there is "Altstadtfest" this week. Dont miss this in the evening!!

Try also the top of parking garage No. 2, you will get some decent results, zoomlens above 200mm is mandatory but at least you don't have any glass in front of you.
Weather should be partly cloudy the next two days, Wednesday should be more on the sunny side.
Unfortunately nothing special due in, at least to my knowledge, as usual. Big grin

Just in case you are still here in Nürnberg:

A Delsey A330 is supposed to show up on Friday,27th, times are 8.00 to 10.00am local time.
Return flight should be on Sunday 29th, 5 to 6pm local time.
By the way: we had some interesting visitors last weekend:
21.9.02: 2 AN.26 + 2 SU-25 + 1 MIL MI 17 all Bulgarian AF
22.9.02: 3 MIG 21 Lancer, 1 C-130 Hercules plus 2 Pumas all Romanian AF
