Any help would be greatly appreciated, i have up to 300mm of zoom, will that be enough for the above type of shots?

Cheers,

Jeff.

Ben's pictures are all shot from the western end of the airport when 08R was in use.

Just had a look at my shots from last week and the BA777 was probably shot at around 90-100mm, I have a similar CO shot that says it 98mm and a similar shot of a 734 would be around 170-180mm. These shots were taken from the now famous "mound of muck" which is in a field adjacent to the airport, if you have to ask what the mound is made from you dont want to stand on it Big grin

Im sure Ben will fill in the details of the other shots but if they are using 08R then 300mm is plenty.

Cheers

Paul

Well, what is left to be said!

Paul pretty much covered it all.

All of these shots can be had @ 300mm.

Yeah, the BA772 shot needs about 90mm i think and the other two shots, JMC and DL probably near the 250-300mm range.

Enjoy LGW, we do get some good stuff and photography especially at the 08 end is very good

@26 you will need to use BAA short stay south terminal car park.

@08 there is a lay-by across the road and just up from the pub flight tavern, free parking of course being a lay-by you wont get moved on but please use it as many people continue to park at the crash gate @ 08 and you are not allowed

This is where I park and I think, Paul too
