I use my right-eye... it would be extremely weird if I didn't. I use my right hand to shoot, and my left hand to focus/hold the lense. On another note, I write with my left hand, but do everything else with my right (scissors, throwing ball, etc.)
What other people think of you is none of your business!

I use my left but if you really want to know what is your "major" eye, point one finger in front of you to a distant object. Now close your left eye, if your finger moved away from the distant object, your "main" eye is the left one. If you close the right eye and the finger still is aligned with the distant object, then your "main" eye is the left one but if it moves to the side, it's the right one.

Left eyed, though right handed. This was a real important issue for me some years back when I was deciding to go with Canon or Nikon gear - the Nikon I was looking at back then (the FE I think) required the winding lever to be moved out from the body to activate the meter ... exactly where my right eye would be! So Canon has had a loyal customer ever since ...
