For what my humble opinion is worth I don't think that shot has any place here. It is a slap in the face to anyone who ever had an "arty" shot rejected where they attempted to show an AIRLINER (since this is airliners.net after all) in an unusual way.
I think it's time someone here took a reality check!
Come on [screener] guys! This is just asking for trouble!!!

You are rapidly reaching the point where the screeners refuse point blank to respond to topics like this in the forum. This would be a great shame as I feel we can make a contribution in the right circumstances. If you want to go to a situation where you've no idea about the screening, or why things are done like they are, then fine - keep up the moaning - and what will happen is that you get absolutely no response as to why pics like this were added. It will become even more difficult for you to ascertain why shots were added, or not, and to make your own judgements about the likelihood of your own pics being accepted.
If on the other hand you want the process to remain reasonably transparent and open, stop posting topics like this. These topics usually end up achieving absolutely nothing - zero. And before anyone says, the answer is that the airliners.net team were aware of and were dealing with this picture well before the topic was raised here, so please don't look at these sorts of topic as a means of defending the faith, as it were.

Did the photographer get an email?
I know from personal experience that having your photo removed without getting an email, is very annoying.
It's not very pleasant to hear from a friend that your picture is removed...
Anyway, stop the blaming on the screeners. I don't know anymore who gave us the figures some time ago in another 'why accepted' thread, but the percentage of wrong screenings on this site is VERY low. So please, to the whiners, keep you comments for yourself.

I think noone was whining in here (at least not me), one photo was singled out, and the screeners told us the preferred way to do this is to send an email to them directly instead of using the forum.
There is no doubt that probably close to 99% of the screenings are OK.
