Hello!

I would appreciate some help here.

I am try to resize a picture the the following size: 8.65" x 7.15", I can't seem to figure that out in PS, I go to the Image size, and I can only set one side and the other is done automatically.

This is actually for a mouse pad I am trying to create, so please advise me how to make the picture that exact size.

Thanks for your help!

If you do that, the picture will be distorted. Thing to do is create a selection with the proportions 8.65" x 7.15", then crop the image to this proportion. After that you can go to Image>Image Size and then resize it.

if the image is larger than your target size, set the marque tool to the desired fixed size and drop that on your photo, position it and crop it.

Well maybe my paper expierence can help. Select the crop tool. Set the pixel/in and the sizes, then select the crop.

It will constrain it for you (it can get bigger and smaller). Thats what we do with the paper. The editors give us a size, we use the crop tool to give them a photo.

At worst, you screw up and die.
