I need to know in a definitive way if we can write small copyright texts in our photos, if we can't at all or if we can but the text must not be visible on the thumbnail, please.

I had this rejected for the copyright text:

on the thumbnail the text is imperceptible:

I need to write that little text, I don't prepare my photos only for Airliners.net.

thanks
Luis

It's certainly not blatant.

Luis,
I had a batch of 11 images rejected for badcopyright (even though my diminutive © sig had been accepted before without warnings).

So I just pushed the opacity of the signature down to 20-30% depending on the image. I also tried to put it in an area of the image where it didn't call too much attention.

I think it also depends on which screener you get. Some are puckered up tighter than a snaredrum.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Thanks Alex and William for your replies. I'm open-minded to change the way I do my copyright titles, I've no problem with that.

I just would like to know the official rules as I've searched the FAQ with no sucess and I don't want to waste screeners time and my time reuploading rejected photos.

Luis

Official rules? Since when have there been official rules?  Big grin

Anyway, I think that a so small copyright text wouldn't be useful as it could be easily removed by the eventual pirate

There is a very fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness'.

You're absolutely correct Toni, I use that little text also to inform who is the author, in some situations and to help me organize my photos.

Luis
