Well,

the heated battle between Canyola and Nikok users just ended not too long ago.
I gotta admit, guys like Joe Pries, Colin K. Work, Jan Mogren, Thomas Millard finally convinced me. Canon seems to be brand!

I was a little hesitant since I have been a Nikon user for a long time and now I bought my first Canon!

It is true what the guys say about Canon.

Rugged body, good and fast A/F for tracking planes, works in sunlight as well as lowlight.

So thanks to all the comments, it finally helped me to buy the right gear. Now I need some Canon lenses but already know what I will get.

Mark, well I figured I only need the long lens in Boston and since you are always around I may borrow it from you  Big grin

Tell your Boston Herald folks that they they are 100% correct. Well some of my shots are better than yours, but you have some good ones as well!

No beer for me at this moment!

Vasco,

I'd be most willing to help you in the disposal of the massive 400 2.8, since it must now be taking up valuable space in your house. Big grin I'll go one better than VAMAN and fly over and personally "remove" the lens for you, so that you don't even have to touch it again. Heck, I would even buy you a few drinks while I'm here.

Just say when!!  Big thumbs up

Ok guys,

Thanks for all the comments btw.....they are appreciated!
.....coming out of the dark, presenting the truth.

Dimitry you almost got it right, pulling everybody's leg, well almost!

If you read my original post and even the second one, the only thing I said is that I bought a Canon Digital.....that's about it.

All your assumptions and interpretations made you believe that I bought a Canon D60 or similar.

You are absolutely incorrect, I just bought a Canon Digital..........

C A M C O R D E R

by all means it is still a Canon, so afterall I am no convert even though I fooled some of you pretty good!

Joe, sometimes I am full of it, I am pretty bored at work, (will be changing jobs soon) and I needed some entertaiment and enjoyment!

Seriously and this is no joke, back in May, before I went to US, I wanted to go Digital bad!
Since the D100 was not even close to be released anytime soon and the D1X was out of the question, I went to my local camera store and thought about trading in all my Nikon gear! (3 lenses and a camera)

I was ready to buy a

D60 with a 300mm f2.8, plus the 2x teleconverter and a wide angle lens.

Why I did not do it, well I saw the 400f2.8 and could not resist.
Nowadays I am broke, still shoot with an analog camera and looking forward to go Digital.

A good or a bad choice, you tell me.

Vasco G.
