In regards to digital cameras what does 4X, 6X etc equate to?
Is 6X similar to a 200 or 300 zoom lense?

6x zoom is equal to anything the camera maker cares to make it - as long as the focal length at the long end of the zoom is six times the focal length at the short end of the zoom, its a 6x zoom. There's no corrolation between zoom factor and focal length.

Okay...how do we go about measuring how many "mm" are there to a (eg.) 240x zoom?

A 10x, 50x or 200x zoom only tells you how much the focal length will change when zooming from wide to the long end. A 28-280mm is equal to a 10x zoom, but so is a 35-350 and a 50-500 mm zoom.

Ask the camera manufacturer, or the store... The details should be in the camera manual.

I had a Fuji finepix 4900 Zoom with a X6 lens, and it was equivalent to a 35-210mm zoom. Hope that helps.
