AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
I'm now this close to getting the Fuji S1, as the Nikon D1 is just a bit too rich for my blood (US$5,000+++!). I have read the various reviews, which are more than favourable, but of course an aviation photographer who has used it would be the best. Or will I have to be the guinea pig!??

Or you can talk to me here
I picked up one two weeks ago but have only had about an hour playing with it. Gary has seen the pictures and as he says the quality is outstanding, I have only used it in basic point and shoot mode (never used a digital before) so plenty more things to explore.
I have 49 pics in the queue roughly 300 ahead so there be appearing soon (maybe) All I have done to them is resize them down from the 3030 highest setting and saved them as a jpeg with minimum compression. I think your be impressed with the colours and the sharpness.
Although its not cheap, the body cost neraly £2400 but included the 1gb microdrive and rechargeable battery pack, I dont think there is anything to touch it without spending too much money.
I think I have an image I can send you on this Pc so you can get an idea, they do appear on a.n other site but we dont mention things like that do we?
