If you are looking at a DSLR and want Canon look at used D30's, and since the big Canon rumour is a replacement for the D60 look for lower priced used D60's in the near future as people jump up to the new camera.

The going rate for a recon D30 at LCE or Jessops seems to be about £900-999. I'm sure you can find cheaper through private sales, but I think this is something that would be well worth having a warranty for.
The problem is that I don't think there are any "reasonable" condition D30s - they tend to be near mint .. or broken .
I think it will be a good while before we see any bargain D60s - indeed, based on Canon past performance in supply, you may even see D60s changing hands for above retail price if it transpires that there is no "affordable" Canon DSLR on the shelves for the next 3-6 months.
