This guy definately has my respect too, great how he gets the shots and copes with the curvature on the cockpit windows. I also envy both his photography and his job! Great work Baily, keep up the amazing work!

Yours Sincerely,
Jason Nicholls

P.S : If you read this Baily will you be operating into MAN at all when SQ change SQ328 to a 777?

Anyone who has an office that high up deserves respect! :0) I love the view, and keep them coming! (Okay, they also make me very jealous ;0)

(Nice shot too, Wietse! One day I hope to possibly snap a pic and hear from one of the crew members! Though with such a relatively small airport nearby, that's gonna be kinda difficult--the joke amongst the locals is that its name is larger than the airport itself :0)

Actually,

it was Miguel Snoep and myself. We were walking towards the runway, not paying much attention, when we saw the plane.

I dropped my bike, grabbed the camera and there you had it: 2 nutcases with D60s running across a field to shoot a metal tube... Smile

It was literally already starting its takeoff roll when I jumped out of the moving car and ran through a field while applying zoom to catch it. Full 380mm, boy is that zoom usefull! Big grin

You were certainly rewarded for your efforts Wietse with a wonderful shot. Sorry, I didn't see you as my mind was probably preoccupied with a hot shower and bed at that stage of the flight not forgetting the landing of course.

Guaranteed I will be on one of the first Manchester services to stock up on some decent food, fish n chips with mushy peas, black pudding and anything else unhealthy.

Cheers all.

Ejazz,

were you the PIC during landing, or were you barking at the F/O to get it right, cause there was a A.net photographer shooting your landing? Big grin

Wietse as Dmitry said I was PIC and if the landing was a good one then I would naturally take the credit and if it was a bad one then of course I'd blame the F/O  Smile

The picture was us arriving back from Chicago so I'll see who who did the landing but I think I did in all honesty.

Hi Wietse,

My apologies for not replying to your question earlier. Work again.

I believe I took that shot from the jumpseat as we taxied out for take-off bound for Singapore. We were certainly lucky with the weather.
