LOL... This is to complicated. Please, give me your opinions. I am new to the digital world and want to make a good investment. I dont want to pay over $1500.00 for the body. WHATS THE BEST CAMERA OUT THERE FOR THIS PRICE? Thanks.

Good day, I'm using a Coolpix 5700 myself and I'm NOT satisfied, I get a 90 percent rate of unsharp and blurred photos. Not because I can't handle this camera or not that I use a wrong setting. In cases which come out to be difficult the 5700 doesn't go well with them.

If I didn't bought my Nikon D100, I would've gone for the Canon D10 becuase of the price. But I have never used a canon and have no lenses for it. I think $1500 for a D10 is a bargain and im sure its better then the D30 and the D60. That camera is gonna be a sell out.
Maiznblu, maybe you should talk to your "local" PHs in San Diego, I think they use digital SLRs. Least they do here.

Kevin, I have a PH buddy whos TAD to my workcenter. Hes been helping me out a lot. Im going to show him the D10. The cameras they use on board ship are the Nikon models that run close to $9000.00 a pop. A little out of my league.
Thanks guys, after all this extra pay I get on my next "ADVENTURE", will help me get the cash.

Maiznblu, I've showed my D100 around my command and they commented on it like "you got the same ones as the PHs do on ships" but mine is not nearly worth $9,000. But I got to check out the camera when the Vice Admiral gave us his lecture. Anyway, have fun on your adventure. I can't wait for my first cruise. After that, I'll have enough money for a Nikkor 80-400mm VR.
