hmmmm, smells fishy...
I took the picture and pasted it into photoshop, and I could only find one color throughout the entire pic (except for the bar at the bottom)

Looks fine to me... I can't believe a photo finally emerges of this “black” aircraft! This reminds me of the first time I saw the F-117… total awe… well done Bob!!!

Hi again,
If anyone can e-mail (mail@airsnaps.com) me some sort of monitor callibration software to help me see this I'd apprecaite it.
I must be doing something wrong because at full contrast/brightness and high resolution on a Sony Tinitron 21" screen I can't see a single thing. I just nearly took my eyes out...
However, for those of you claiming to be able to see something then my apologies for starting this thread; both to Bob and the screener who let this photo through.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW SITE ADMIN
Wow, lots of calls coming in from US Air Force representatives demanding that we remove the photo so it's definitely not fake. I will be forced to take it down quite soon so enjoy it while it lasts. The thumbnail looks dark but with proper monitor calibration the large version is crisp clear. What the heck is that thing under the wing!?

Working on the site from morning 'till night that's livin' alright (1997-2007)

I was wondering that myself Johan. I heard that the USAF had to develop new types of weapons for the Aurora, although it was designed to carry most things internally. Not much can stand up to Mach 6 flight hanging off the wing like that.

Its no wonder some photographers have problems getting pictures accepted on this site. If they can't calibrate their monitors well enough to see the Aurora, what chance do they have of getting the colour balance, contrast and sharpness right in their own pictures?

I had some problems seeing it, too, but now... Adjusted my monitor and WOW! It's incredible! A wonderful sibling of the U-2 and the SR-71. I love it! By the way, Johan, could you put it in the place of the NW 744 on top of the site? At least for one day? It's so freaking gorgeous...

Johan,
why didn´t you take it down immedialy when you were contacted by the USAF??? Doesn´t really make sence.
Im 99.9% sure that this is just a hoax because if it really was a picture of the Aurora, I think that the USAF would have the power to close the site or just take away the picture by only making a few phone calls.
If this isn´t a hoax, then I´ll buy Bob Mckenzie a crate of beer if he ever comes to Austria. (I´ll also bash in my monitor).
Edit: Ill also make sure that I´m sent to a mental hospital.
