Is the hits counter on the images broken here tonight. I know of at least three people who have looked at my newest edition tonight and still it says the number of views is a big ZERO- 0.

Regards

Something must be broke, there are about four and a half pages of "0" view images.

Oh well, I'm sure it will be fixed soon enough.

Guys, IIRC, when viewing images in the order in which they were added by just clicking on the 'Show me the Photos!' button, the "views" counter is only updated when a new batch of images is added.

You may well find that listing pictures by doing a photographer search will show the number of views.

This is for performance reasons - the pages are generated 'on the fly' when doing a search, when viewing all images they're a little more static.

Anyhow...what's with all this 'views' fixation!  Wink/being sarcastic

Hope this helps,
Dean

Yes, as far as I remember it used to be on a click by click basis, but now its updated as Dean says.

Its not broken, the hits just haven't been registered yet (on your screen).

I am sorry to say that is was indeed broke but has been fixed. An INT value for a counter ID in one of our databases reached a max value and were unable to add further values, therefore the counting stopped. It's been fixed and should not happen again.

Unfortunately this means that every photo count for the last day (many thousands) were lost.  Sad

It was obviously broke, but thanks to EGGD I ran out and got a new screen counter for my monitor! Anyone know how this thing gets installed? Wink/being sarcastic

Thanks Andy...

Jeff......

First tell me if is in a grey housing or black housing because the grey counters are missing the numbers 10 through infinity.

LOL

I just would like to see counters go back to click-by-click format again. It was a lot easier and less confusing.

Alex.
