Ok, This has got to stop. Now 2 pictures have been stolen. 1 from Myself and 1 by Art Brett.
The website that have stolen our photos is Http://www.eztoyz.com A very good and respected online aircraft model store. 1st thing, I have never authorized the use of my photo on their page and I am assuming Art did not either. To get to the violated photos go to the link I provided above, then click on the link for the model brand STAR JETS. Once that page opens, click the link for all 1:200 scale models. The newest models that are available will show first. The newest models for Star Jets are the A319's of Frontier. Now look at the pics next to the descriptions of the models. Click on the link to enlarge the photo's to verify the pics match my pic and Art's. I also must add that the pics were cropped and the A.net copyright logo take off. Now compare.

Ok here is the scoop. I talked with the Manager on the phone at Eztoyz. He said he was sorry that my photo was used on the page without prior permission. He did state that he would like to compensate me by giving me the model of the one in my photo that is about to be realeased. That is cool. I told him it is not cool to just steal photos and then use them. On top of all this I did go over copyright Issues and how he cropped the photo and all copyright logos off of it. He apologized. I told him he can either give me that compensation or take my photo off immediately. I also said that I would let him continue to keep the photo there as long as my name appears next to my photo with full credit! I got his full name and all the info already, sent emails to a couple people within the company.
I guess its really as far as I am going to take it. As for the Model, i deserve it now. I guess for all the rest of the guys that have photos on Eztoyz, take the same thing up with them. It is not right or fair for the others as well, and I also stated that to him.
Jeff, I am in SEA until tomorrow night, then I fly home for good. I will be working in DEN exclusively, starting Monday. If you are available this Saturday I would like to do some spotting. Let me know ok.

Ok, quickly again as I just checked Eztoyz. It seems that they have listened and put my copyright tag back at the bottom of my photo. I appreaciate that they did that now! Only after I had to say something.

Thanks for the notification about the unauthorized use of my shot. I have sent an e-mail to them and am awaiting a response. Tell me, did they have the entire shot up there before and crop it to just the tail, or has it only been the tail the entire time. Just like to know.

Its really too bad that human nature to some involves the theft of pictures and putting it on their page as their own.
GO get them, there should be some sort of Net Nanny thing implemented to track down criminal sites who steal pictures off a.net and other sites.
It seems to work out decently well for porn sites so why not aviation.
