Every time I write down with small letters not capital letters, so why.

Do you type this "empty" manually into the field on the upload page?
If you do so theres no need to do it just leave it blank if you dont the which brwoser are you using?

Sokol

Yes, you type empty in there and I have always wondered why you do that.

Hi Gary

I type that because it says if you have no remark leave empty.

Before I typed empty in the remark because I thought I should type it,
But now I understand I should not type empty in the remark.

Thanks  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Hi all

Agree with Ben, that was funny but shouldn't laugh.

Sokol, if you have not comments in the comment field, just leave it blank.
You may want to spend a little time on Airliners before uploading as you may want to add the manufacturers serial number and stuff.

It may not be interesting to you but someone out there would be interested.

Gary Watt

This message is to 707cfm and the others who might think this is funny. Sokol Ymeri is from Albania and I dare say he expresses himself much better in English than you might do in Albanian. Until you can communicate in his language with the ease that he uses ours, I would not dare to laugh at his understanding / misunderstandings in English. I think you owe him an apology.

Enough said.

To be fair Steve, I don't think anyone was harsh.. Everyone realized the mistake, its an easy thing to do in a different language. I make stupid mistakes in English and its my first language (misplaced words, sexual innuendo's etc, doesn't help my friends twist my words but.. Big grin). But it still doesn't change the fact that it was funny, I smiled to myself about it, only 2 replies mildly poked fun but even that wasn't anything malicious.

it kind of reminds me of this thread:

But of course you don't get off so lightly in the gaming community  Laugh out loud

Steve

I don't think anyone was making fun of Sokol.

I am well aware from where Sokol is from. Infact, I also thought that typing 'empty' he was referring to a non passenger flight.

An easy mistake to make.

I'm sure if we were on an Albanian internet forum and a mistake was made with the language, it would get some good laughs too.

Relax.

Er... last time I checked, English was not my native language. But I thank you for thinking it. My English teacher(s) would be proud (if only they had something to do with my command of that language, which I don't think is the case).

You being Canadian, I dare hope you also have a good command of the other official language of your country  Wink/being sarcastic

Please leave this field empty...

Kinda reminds me of manuals where they print "This page intentionally left blank", thereby ensure that the page is nothing of the sort.

Actually Sokol the reason I stated Albania was because that is the information in the Country field on your bio page. I realise that there has been much re-drawing of the political map in the past decade in your part of the world. Sorry for the error.

To 707cfm I must say that I do not speak French other than a very rudimentary ability to order a beer or food. I actually studied Latin in school. Now there is a usefull tool in today's society.  Confused

However I am studying Spanish and working at becoming more proficient in that language. I have many Spanish friends (Cuban) and have spent considerable time in various Latin American countries. So I find it much more useful to me in everyday life to work on learning that language.

I never took spanish in school, but last year in Republica Domenicana, it took me less than 100 minutes to learn the basics :

Una cervessa por favor
Una pina Collada por favor
Una tequila por favor
La cuenda por favor.
Er... No hablo espanol. Habla Inglese ? Er... Habla francese ?

(the spelling is probably completely false, but I've always been understood)

As for the latin, well, maybe the guy will not habla inglese nor francese, but he will habla latinese, and there you will be grateful not having learnt ancient greek as I did  Wink/being sarcastic

Oh, and last point : I am a Boeing and an airport. Not a Boeing and an engine : 707 - CMF, not 707 - CFM  Wink/being sarcastic
