I received a new Olympus C720 last week, but it has been too cloudy to shoot airliners
I noticed that the camera's default is "HQ" format, and no matter how I change the setting, whenever I turn it off and turn it back on, it goes back to "HQ." Is there any way to change the default setting?
What format is best for Airliners.net: Super HQ or TIF? I know TIF has no compression, but the files are much larger, and I can only fit 14 on a 128MB card.

Shoot in SHQ. There's little to no difference between TIFF and SHQ, only with SHQ you get hell of a lot more shots and much more chances to get accepted! I have C-700 2mp, and I just got some shots accepted here today!

I shoot the C720, Always use SHQ. I set 'My Mode' so when I switch it on, all my preferences are saved and all I have to do is zoom and shoot, and it knows whats I like, very handy camera. Search for my shots...
