Teleconverter Troubles

I just got a Vivitar X2 AF and I'm having troubles already. I looked through the manual, didn't find much. The problem is that when i try to change shutter speeds, aperature setting, etc...the display begins to flash OFF. Also, the AF seems to just be slightly off, but that may be due to the cloudy wx. I'm going spotting tomorrow, so any help before then would be great! Smile/happy/getting dizzy

What type of camera and lens are you using? That would help.

Sorry about that, I was on my way out of the house. So, I was trying to post something about it quick. I'm using a N65 and a Tamron 75-300mm lense.

Unless the Tamron 75-300mm is an f4 or faster lens, the AF may not work at all, thus the flashing you are talking about. Manual focus should work well at any rate.
