Is Calgary Worth Visiting?

Does Calgary have much traffic? What are the best days to visit?

"worth visiting"....well it's hard to say. There are some nice European Charter goodies here. Thomas Cook twice a week, Martin Air twice a week, Balair starting up soon aswell. Plus lots of exciting Westjet and Air Canada traffic... Wink/being sarcastic

Security is not an issue except for one airport security officer who is on a power trip. He has called the police on one spotter, and has verbally harassed a large group of us on numerous occasions. He's just full of shit though, using lies and such to get his point across.

excellent! I am thinking about heading up there over the 4th of July holiday. Is Edmonton worth checking out, too?

Their traffic is very similar to what we get but less, nearly no heavies. Calgarians and Edmontonians are rivals, so if you ask any of us...we are all biased, and would say no.

One word: YES! Calgary is indeed a wonderful city to visit. Its not just the airport but the whole geographical location to the Rocky Mountains. Also this city is big with the western spirit, Cowboys and the famous Calgary Stampede which should start around the time you arrive.

. I am planning on coming out there soon Bo. I feel the need for shooting anything but 737's.

It's just a winter thing. They will be back if they don't go broke first. I just hope it's with the My Travel DC-10's again.
