The damaged airbus that was the victim of a heavy storm is now at EMA. The airline cant do anything with it seems, as it is being "ferried" back to Airbus. I believe the pilot is still in question, either for such a fine effort for landing the aircraft, or continuing to fly with a damaged aircraft? Guess time will tell.

Anyway, the aircraft is set to leave EMA within the next 24 hrs.

What's wrong with it?

I saw it rolled out at MAN the day after with a new radome and from my vantage point nothing appeared amiss.

The radome is nothing compared to the other damage. So much so, it will require Airbus to look at it.

Well I saw her in the hangar this morning and no damage was apparent...apart from the replacement radome.

So...please elaborate, what "other damage"...pretty please...  Wink/being sarcastic

EGGD is spot on, leading edges were damaged. However, The outer engine case/rim was heavily dinted, and few other things I cant say. The main point is though, the fact Airbus need to look at it?

Anybody know how the captain has got on?
