It's about half way completed and probably will be finished in early August. Smile/happy/getting dizzyThere is also a large fence running the length of the project and then some, so photography up there now is almost impossible. Sad
I can only hope that the end results will be photographer friendly! I'm crossing my fingers..........

I was there on June 23rd. Light and weather were both great. The fence doesn't matter, just go 100ft down the street and go around it. The construction workers are great, let u move around and shoot away. As long as you stay outta their way, they stay out of yours.

Many Thanks for the replies! I will see for myself in a few weeks and report back on the progress.

Used to live within walking distance to those benches but now live in Sterling, VA due to work...  Sad

Hope to be back to live in Los Angeles or El Segundo soon!

Lars,

I would LOVE to live in El Segundo. Smile/happy/getting dizzy They have some beautiful homes there. But for the most part, someone will buy an old one and tare it down, and then build a brand new one where the old one stood. Anyway, it's expensive to say the least, but a beautiful neighborhood........

Hi Paul!

I lived in an apartment at the corner of Virginia and Imperial but facing Imperial and thus the airport. I could see the planes on the runway from my living room as they lined up when they were using 7R for departures..... When RR powered 744s were taking off, the windows shook like they were going to break! Those were the days; 5 minute walk up to the Imperial hill............

Take Care

Hi everybody, I was just there last weekend and did get a couple good shots from there. It is still underconstruction along with the fence.I did have my truck with me so I was able to get those above the fence.

This is a great song but also something to remember for me. Two years ago I stayed in the Hacienda Airport Hotel located in El Segundo, I was in a hurry to go to LAX to catch my plane back home, I quickly payed something at the front desk and left the hotel. The shuttle bus was about to leave for the airport but a hotel employee stop it and gave me my vallet that I forgot at the front desk. So I almost left my wallet in El Segundo Big grin.
