How good is this used camera kit? A Canon TL kit, comes with a f2.5 35mm lens, plus extra lens: f2 58mm + f3.5 200mm, plus a Canon 2X converter.

It's used. Should I bid on it? Is this camera model an old one? Has anyone used one?

Or, another one:

Nikon 6006 with 2 lenses: 35-70mm, and 70-210 w/Nikon UV filters.

Don't go for either camera. The Canon is far outdated and lenses for it are no longer made.

The Nikon 6006 has many weaknesses: AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, AF, and finally, AF. Need I say more?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Go for a Minolta 700si. The AF on this camera is MUCH faster than the AF on the Nikon 6006.

I bought a 6006 some years ago and I'm still struggling with the AF, but this is the first time I've seen someone so completely against it. I have been thinking of moving to an F80. Have you had any experience of this model?
Also what have you found the [roblem to be with the AF on the 6006, with me, I've found that the focus is constantly hunting and rarely do I get the pin sharp picture I had expected from a Nikon. I had put it down to the Sigma lens I am using (75-300 APO). But having read your post, it maybe that the camera itself isn't that great after all.
Any input would be appreciated.
Cheers,
APP.

Whew! Hey I really appreciate the advice! I've been looking on auction sites for good deals on a kit and I would never have known!
