Canon G2...telephoto Adapter?

Hi everybody. I have a Canon G2. As some of you might know, it only has a 3x zoom. Does anybody know about telephoto adapters for them, and how well they work. I am teaching myself about the specifics of aviation photography, so I think this might be a solution to getting clearer more close up shots at MSP. If anyone can help me, that would be great. Thank you in advance.

A little research has turned up the following product which will work with the G2:

TC-DC58 (tele converter for G1, G2) and cost in the UK is about £60. No idea about the magnification of how good the results might be though.
