Gary and others

Thanks for the kind words.

The D30 is an old timer but a classic and I don't want to get rid of it for a while thank you, not as long as it produces the sort of images I am getting thank you  Smile

As Derek says my shiney new Sigma got its first main workout on Saturday and it is a very nice lens. Big thanks to Derek for the oppertunity to buy it from him! It was very expensive, he told me that was because he had used it before and I belived him Big grin

Gary, you mean to say I moan? :P and as for that brick well, I try to explain but you are having none of it, I have never used a brick and you know it Gary  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Cheers all

Ben,

Is that the 170-500 you have just bought? If so I'd be interested to see how you are handling it-personally I find it a bit cumbersome. And if you are interested I'll show you where to go to get the most out of it around LHR Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Matt,

Nope not the infamous 170-500, its the Sigma 100-300mm f4 EX lens.

On another note I wouldnt mind meeting up this summer perhaps at Heathrow, put a face to the name and all that  Smile

Good idea Ben since it's unlikely you'll see me at LGW-I have nothing but bad luck at that place.

In the meantime you can find me over at JP, picture i/d 128056, thanks to Shaun for uploading that shot Wink/being sarcastic

So you are sleeping on the floor at BHX tonight then Shaun? Yes, Sunday was a particularly unlucky day for me, the only shot I uploaded was the one from my back garden which just proves how pointless it was going to LHR.

I think there will be a LHR meet on 24th October Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Well, it's 3:05am ... i've been here since 7pm yesterday evening and i havn't managed any sleep, all the comfy chairs have gone from last time i was here and now it's just crap metal ones.
I guess i'll just have to have an extra long sleep at the hotel in EDI  Laugh out loud
Anyway, this post is about ben so i won't drag on ...  Big grin
