Great pictures, but can someone explain to me why "hot air balloons" are accepted on "airliners".net?

Not that it botheres me, but I jsut don't see the logic behind it. What, just becuase they are in the air too?

Tomorrow I'll upload pictures of pidgeons, paper airplanes and kites.

Regards

Then we could say, 'why are military a/c accepted' under the same logic.

Great shot Tamsin, although i'm glad I wasn't there with all those people  Smile/happy/getting dizzy, most of the balloons landed behind my house anyway  Laugh out loud

Sometimes I wish my parents had taken a photo of that hot-air-balloon Statue of Liberty that made an unplanned landing in a field behind our house when I was a kid...

Nice shots indeed.

Phil, we need some let up from the airliners; just so we can appreciate them all the more.

Besides, at the rate of upload vs. new color schemes/new airlines/Boeing-Airbus production/crashes & "special stickers" combined, pretty soon everything will be "bad common".  Smile

Yup Phil ... look forward to seeing shots of yours in the queue

for me it doesnt matter ... hot air balloon / gliders or whatever they are all "aircraft" for us to view and in this particular occasion admire the outstanding composition and quality

Please include the registration otherwise we will have to reject them badinfo!!  Wink/being sarcastic

Tamsin,

Great shots a sheer joy to screen and break the monotony of airliners, so we can appreciate them more.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Boy, you guys just hound whoever you even SUSPECT is complaining or whining.

I even admitted that I thinkt he picture is great. All I did was ask a question, and for some reason, you people took it as complaining. You should know me better than that.

By reading my other posts, you should know I joke a lot. If you took my "pdgeon/kites" comment seriously, then you jsut overreacted.

Vir380, that was a highly inappropriate comment. If that is a sarcastic threat, then I am shocked that Johan would "hire" someone that displays such a level of professionalism.

Come on, folks, you know me better than that. Id ont know why you got so defensive.

Regards

-Phil

I think it's obvious that Phil wasn't very serious. He's known as the jokester around here and you folks most definitely overreacted. You should play nice. Some people take this shit way too seriously...  Insane

Hi All,

Phil, Airliners.net is of course the original domain name. But nothing should stop us from moving to other forms of aviation.

I would have thought that the skill required for balloon photography, and the subject are more or less a yawn. I couldn't be further from wrong looking at these shots above. I give in... nice shots.

As long as it flies, and is able to be registered, I'll screen it.

And yes, also coming from "down under" (coming from the HUGE island next door to Colin's lil' isle), I would be tempted to "take the piss" as well - but will refrain.

Glenn

Oh, but when they agree with YOU, it's ok, right?

Have a cold one on me.

Cheers

I didn't say anything to you, I was talking to him, telling me to chill seems a bit hypocritical considering you've carried this on so far! I said nothing about agreeing with anyone, or opinions, I couldn't care less who he agreed with but after you'd already explained yourself I didn't see the need for him to kiss your ass some more..
