Ive noticed that since this is the 80th year that UA has been keeping our skies friendly, there is still no retrojet out there. Does somebody know why? I think a 757 or A319 would look great in the old UA colors from the 60s or even paint a plane with the old white livery that they had in the late '70s and '80s. Im sorry if this has been discussed before.

I wish UA flew mainline to MYR, that way you wouldn't be stuck in a smelly Saturn for 12 hours.

I think it'd be cool to see a UA plane in the colors of Boeing Air Transport (a very early ancestor), but I wonder if doing this on an Airbus 319/320 would be appropriate?

I would love to see an A319 or 757 in these colors

A 737 or 747 in the old Friendship livery would be stunning (since they actually flew in those colors long ago).

FYI with regards to liveries.

N777UA (first 777 in revenue service) has been repainted in UA's latest livery and no longer has the "Working Together" titles on it.

I think UA should at least replace the "Workting Together" titles.

Those titles were as a result of Boeing's co-operation with customer airlines in the design process of the 777.

Wow, yes I so agree with you. That's a lovely livery!!  Smile

It would look great on any airliner (but for some reason the A319 is naturally suited to carry retro liveries, have you noticed?)

cheers

Yeah ive noticed that as well, I think it might have something to do with the body style of the aircraft, either that or its the cheapest to repaint.

Not a fan of the old liveries. Let them live in the past.
