If you had your own private jet and could plan the ultimate Round the World trip for either spotting or pleasure or both where would you go.

I'd rather have a G550 than a BBJ. Better speed, better altitude, better cabin pressure, better windows, quieter, far more airports, far better fuel consumption.

Other than fantastical airliner conversions, I would take a Globex on the long flights and my personal favorite (CX) on the shorter flights.

Having taken a RTW this year, I would say that traveling east is better than west.... here is my take (and I hope more realistically where I would have to stop, although I probably will need a BBJ or ACJ)

Mine has a bit of Rail travel in it.

PHL, SFO, SEA, ANC, VVO, then the Trans-Siberian Railroad to SVO, LED, FRA, LHR, DUB, BOS, PHL.

I had a plan to actually do this while I was working for UA. Never got around to it obviously.
