Hi all, I have 89500 miles on my mileage plus account, and since UA will change their award rules by october 16 I'd like to take advantage of the old rules to burn some miles... I've never booked an award ticket so any help would be appreciated. If I recall correctly, I can take up to 3 flights and one stopover per direction, right ? What about an open jaw ?
I'd like to fly as much as possible, with different airlines and locations, starting from BRU or DUS or even CDG... I'm thinking about a trip to Asia but if someone has another idea, please let me know  Smile
Thanks in advance for your help !

Jef

Go down to the UA ticket office with a box of chocolate for your ticket agent. Give the agent the chocolate, ask them what they suggest and see if you don't get about 150 times the value of that simple box of chocolates. Don't delay the deadline is approaching and you know you've earned your reward.

Don't think UA has such limitations.

One per award.

My suggestion:

Buy 11000 miles and fly F to North America, for example:

BRU-FRA-SFO LH
SFO-JFK UA PS F
JFK-FRA SQ F
FRA-BRU LH

Buy 16000 miles and fly C to Asia, for example:

BRU-CPH SK
CPH-SIN-DPS SQ
DPS-BKK-CPH TG (F seats as C to CPH/ARN)
CPH-BRU SK

Thanks for your ideas. By the way, I don't see any change for Y saver awards, at least for the amount of miles needed on UA's new charts... Except from the seat restrictions, what will really change ? Sorry for my questions but I'm coming back after 3 months without internet and I feel a little bit lost  Smile
