As a long time UA fan and flyer I recently flew YX to MKE to MCO and back, while the flight was good and service outstanding I did have one complaint and that was no IFE. Which brings to my question.
With YX getting new planes hopefully next year will they install IFE similar to UA or Ted with music and channel 9 plus free movies?
I for one dont need the cookies I would much rather have channel 9 and free movies what does everyoneg feel about this.
Regards,
Mark in MKE

I doubt they'll have a UA-like "channel 9" - that's pretty unique with UA.
As for which I'd prefer... well... on all my domestic US flights, I've not once listened to music being offered or watched a film being shown - in other words: I don't need IFE on longhauls, and I can certainly do without on shorthauls.

cookies cookies cookies! Food and IFE can both be passenger-provided (McDonald's etc, iPod/Laptop etc) However if I had to choose between IFE and some sort of food, I'd go with the food. It brings the lovely FAs down the aisle! (although on some flights I'd rather NOT have the FA come down the aisle...)

Definately the cookies, I can get IFE on other airlines and starve to death. YX doesnt need the IFE, they just need to keep the cookies!!!

I just had a fantastic YX flight yesterday, from MSN-MKE (328jet) and then to LGA. The cookies really add a wonderful touch. The best part of YX, though, is the FA's, who are so incredibly nice. That's what sets them apart more than the food (which was excellent) and the cookies (yay!).
As far as IFE, they do rent the DigEPlayers on the Saver flights from MKE to the West Coast, and I've always seen them sell out. AFAIK, there's no word yet on what the IFE will be on the yet-to-be-announced new aircraft.
For myself, I'll take the cookies and bring my video iPod.
