Every new production has had it's problems from the 737 to the 777 this is normal.

Many programs have had problems, but the A380 is not normal. This is a very serious error in terms of planning that is unprecedented by an airliner manufacturer (even the woeful tail of the L1011 was due to engine problems, not the airframer). To try and sugar coat it by saying its a normal issue fails to realize the gravity of the situation.
To answer the question--I've always rooted for Boeing, so I cant say that anything that may help them in the long term disappoints me, plus I find the case very interesting to follow. That said, I find the A380 a remarkable airframe and whatever the business case for it is, and whatever problems occur, thousands of people dedicated years of their lives to building her. We need to respect their work, and I think only the most partisan of people would claim to be glad at the A380s woes.
