No one that I know of flys non-stop New York - Taipei. You're probably go to connect in San Fransisco or Los Angeles first. China Airlines has direct service back to JFK with a stop, they show advance roundtrip fares less than $1,000 US. I'd check with American, Asiana, China Airlines, Delta, Northwest & United.

Which class are you flying?

I would reccomend Eva Air from LAX as they are offering their new product on the new 77W's  Smile

Another option is to travel via NRT from JFK on ANA who are using their 777's to JFK. Their product is very good on-board  Smile

EVA Air flies between Newark and Taipei with a stop in Seattle. Service is on a 74E.

The stop is in Anchorage. I don't think you can go wrong with either EVA or China Air Lines.
