If you could sit anywhere on any of the models of the 747, where would you want to sit the most? In the nose, upperdeck, over the wing or the back of the plane? I would want to sit either in the nose or on the upper deck of the -400 series.

I would prefer to have seat 1A or 1K for the better view.
But we get a smoother ride in the Upper Deck, But it takes to long to exit the plane from upstairs.

I find the nosecone somewhat claustrophobia-inducing... Although I am happy to accept that if it is a first class seat. My personal favourite is section 2 -just behind the nosecone

Probably the left seat, all the way in the front, upper deck. Lots of knobs to turn, and a nice view  Big thumbs up

Personally I prefer to sit IN a 747.

Gets a bit cold and windy if you sit ON one

Can't recall the seat number on the top of my head, but in the window seat by the middle of the left wing. Best seat in the house as far as I'm concerned

I would like to fly anywhere on the 747-200 or SP. I have only flown the 747-200 once with UA and 4 -400 series planes with LH. I would like to get some flying time on some older 747's.

In business class right behind door 2L. It's cool to look out at the engines, especially on take-off. (that's only if it's a short flight....say,LAX-DEN) If it's a long flight, anywhere in F/C!
