Here's a question. What old school charter airlines did you fly on/fly from? What aircraft did you fly on? What year if you can remember?

Britannia Airways B732 NCL-AGP-NCL (at least twice)
Orion Airways B732 NCL-AGP-NCL
Britannia Airways B732 NCL-CFU-NCL

Dan Air B732 MME-AGP-MME

Air UK Leisure B734 NCL-AGP-NCL

Leisure International B763 MAN-MCO-MAN

Nordic European L1011 NCL-PMI-PMI

There were other charters I took between some of these years, but I wouldn't say they'd qualify as old school, so I've just listed ones where the airline no longer exists.

Scanair DC8-63, Gardermoen GEN (now OSL) -Rhodes-GEN, Easter 1982.

Scanair A300B4, TFS-GEN (GEN-CPH on faulty A300B4 - continued to TFS on SAS B747-100(!) Awesome!), celebrated New Year's Eve 1984-85.

Sterling Airways (the old charter airline 1960-1993,1994-1998?), B727-200, GEN-Corfu-GEN, August 1994.

Braathens SAFE B737-200, GEN-Lanzarote-GEN, 1980.

Braathens SAFE B767-200, GEN-LPA-GEN, Easter 1984.

My sister flew Sterling Airways SUD/Aviation Caravelle, GEN-PMI-GEN in the late 1980s and hated it. She thought the plane would fall down because of the noise and constant rattling. I was so jealous...

Come, fly the prevailing winds with me

NOVAIR (ex BCAL charters that didn't end up in Caledonian/Ex CalAir). DC-10-30. LGW-ATH. 1989
Air Europe Brindisi-LGW. 1989

I've ended up in School-Semi-Charters a.k.a. extra flights with CX HKG (Kai Tak)-LGW throughout the 90s... from 742s to 743s to 744s. Packed with kids! Even though I was a student then, I hated those flights!

Air America (operating for Garuda Scheduled) L1011 CGK-DPS 1990?
World Airways (Operating for Garuda Scheduled) DC-10 CGK-DPS 1990?

My memory is rusting!

mainly as a kid

various flights to the regular holiday haunts. Malaga / Alicante / Palma / Ibiza / Mahon / Faro
Britannia (757, 767)
Air 2000 (757)
Dan Air (can't remember too young)
Monarch (757)
Orion (737)
Did an Air Scandic L1011 on one trip also.

couple of notables
went to Austria with school on skiing trips a few times. first time was on a Monarch 737, second time was on a BMI 737.
both Manchester - Salzburg.

Airtours A320
Manchester - Monastir in 1999

Went to Palma in 2000 on Airtours as a last minute deal on a 737 I believe out of EMI.
coming back we were delayed 14 hours as they consolidated 2 planes onto a DC10 and flew Palma - Stanstead - East Mids.......

I remember on one occasion we were delayed a long, long time in Alicante as we were due to fly home on the same day as the British Airtours disaster happened.

British Airtours 707-436 LGW-TFN-LGW Sep '77

Dan Air Boeing 727-46 LGW-TFN-LGW Sep '78 out on G-BAFZ back on G-BAJW - loved the interior, those multi coloured dotty seats that faced backwards

Orion Airways 737-200 LGW-TFS-LGW Dec '84 G-BGTW
Brown and cream, but actually worked well in a late 70s/80s way

Air Europe 737-200 LGW-TFS Dec '86 G-BJFH
757-200 TFS-LGW

Britannia 737-200/737-300/757-200/767-200/767-300
as crew 1986-1997

A minute's silence please for our dear departed lady in the wheelchair.

Sabre 727-200 as crew 1998-2000 - wouldn't swap my three years
on those for the world. Only time I've been chased by pax across the tarmac and mobbed getting out of the crew transport.
